Neuropathy Relief in Corvallis — Acupuncture Ecology · David Yeh, L.Ac.
Acupuncture EcologyEcology

Your body still knows how to heal. We help clear what’s in the way.

If burning, numbness, or tingling in your hands or feet has become part of your daily life — and you’ve been told there’s nothing more to do but manage it — we’d like to offer another way forward. At Acupuncture Ecology, our treatments work to restore the flow of circulation and nerve signaling your body needs to recover on its own terms. This isn’t about masking the pain. It’s about clearing what’s blocking your body’s own repair process.

What’s actually happening with neuropathy

With peripheral neuropathy, the nerves responsible for carrying signals between your brain and body have been damaged — which is what leads to the pain, numbness, tingling, or weakness patients describe.

  • Numbness, tingling, burning, or electric‑shock sensations
  • A “walking on marbles” or “bunched sock” feeling
  • Reduced sensitivity to temperature
  • Balance problems and higher fall risk
  • Muscle weakness, cramping, or twitching
  • Foot drop
  • Difficulty gripping objects or with fine motor tasks
  • Muscle wasting over time

Does any of this sound familiar?

“I used to hike every weekend — now I’m afraid of losing my footing on the trail.”
“I was told this is just something that happens as you get older.”
“The medication took the edge off, but I hated how it made me feel.”
“Some mornings my feet feel like they’re still asleep long after I’ve gotten up.”

Types of neuropathy we treat

Our approach is designed to help across many forms of neuropathy, including:

Diabetic neuropathy Peripheral neuropathy Chemotherapy‑induced neuropathy Post‑stroke recovery Trigeminal neuralgia Post‑herpetic neuralgia Bell’s Palsy Cranial neuropathy Autonomic neuropathy Idiopathic neuropathy (no clear cause)

Identifying the underlying cause helps shape your treatment plan — though our approach is built to support the nervous system broadly, even when a clear cause hasn’t been found.

Our approach

Medication generally works by dulling pain signals on their way to the brain. Ours is different — we focus on supporting the conditions your nerves need to function and recover.

Improve circulation to nerve tissue

Nerves under strain need adequate blood flow to get the oxygen and nutrients recovery depends on.

Calm the inflammatory response

Chronic inflammation can break down the protective sheath around nerve fibers — we work to ease that inflammatory environment.

Support cellular energy

ATP Resonance BioTherapy® uses targeted low‑level electrical frequencies to work with the body’s own electrical signaling, supporting cellular energy production.

Restore sensation and function

As the nerve environment improves, many patients notice a gradual return of sensation, less burning and tingling, and better balance and mobility over time.

Your journey

Recovering from nerve damage isn’t linear, and we won’t pretend it is. From your first treatment, we’re working to support circulation, calm inflammation, and support cellular repair — even before you notice a difference.

Timelines vary depending on the cause, severity, and how long you’ve had symptoms. During your consultation, David will walk you through a realistic picture of what to expect for your specific situation — you won’t be left guessing.

Frequently asked questions

Can you actually help repair nerve damage, or just reduce the pain?

Our treatment’s pain‑relieving effects are well documented and work by influencing the nervous system’s pain signaling. But the goal goes further — by improving circulation to nerve tissue and calming the inflammation that contributes to nerve damage, treatment aims to support the conditions nerves need to recover, not just mask symptoms. ATP Resonance BioTherapy® adds to this by supporting cellular energy directly. Results vary based on the severity and duration of your condition.

My doctor said neuropathy is permanent. Is that true?

Conventional medicine generally treats nerve damage as difficult to reverse, and in severe or longstanding cases, significant reversal may not be realistic. What we commonly see, though, is meaningful functional improvement — less burning and tingling, better balance, more sensation, and a return to daily activities. A consultation is the best way to get an honest read on what’s realistic for you.

Can I keep taking my current medication while doing this treatment?

Yes. There is no contraindication for medication and what we do. Many patients continue their prescriptions and gradually adjust them as symptoms improve — always in coordination with their prescribing doctor, never on our instruction alone.

Will I need to take herbal medicine long‑term?

Not necessarily. Many patients start with herbal medicine as part of an active treatment phase, and where appropriate, are gradually tapered as their plan progresses — always based on your individual response, not a fixed timeline.

How many treatments before I notice a difference?

That depends on the cause, duration, and severity of your neuropathy — there’s no single timeline that fits everyone. David will discuss realistic expectations with you during your consultation.

Does acupuncture hurt? I’m already dealing with nerve sensitivity.

This is a common and understandable concern. Acupuncture needles are extremely fine — far thinner than a medical needle — and most patients feel minimal to no discomfort. We regularly work with patients who have heightened nerve sensitivity and adjust our approach as needed throughout treatment.

David is the founder of Acupuncture Ecology, holding National Certification in Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM) and licensed to practice in Oregon (#AC01285). His path into medicine started unconventionally — a year spent living semi‑primitively at a wilderness school, learning to read the land and its rhythms — and it left him with a lasting fascination with how the body heals when it’s given the right support. Today he blends acupuncture, herbal medicine, and ATP Resonance BioTherapy® to treat complex, chronic conditions like neuropathy, working to resolve issues at the root rather than just manage symptoms.
